Like it was said earlier in this thread, the difference of a few hundred dollars to a $1000 over the duration of your stay won't matter too much for a $2-5 NLH player. Your decision has a heavy influence on your poker bankroll, the limits you play and if you're a cash or tourney grinder. I will be playing mostly 2/5NL which is considered mid stakes poker. Does anyone have advice on this? Obviously if i know for sure im going to be at a place for 6 months or 1 year minimum, then i could sign a lease but i want the freedom to leave if things go bad.
Someone also mentioned its best to get your own place even if its a studio in a bad area as oppose to renting a room in a strangers house. I plan to go to the venetian or bellagio almost everyday to grind poker. I also read about one called Holiday royale but someone say that is way too far from the strip if you have no car. Does anyone kinow if those are safe places? I also heard about budget suites. I see they have places like Blair House Suites and some other extended stay places. But the thing is if i do this, i need the place to be very close to a bus stop.īecause i don't know how long i been going to stay for, would someone tell me my best solution for housing? I paid around $850 per month staying each month when staying at the strip hotel and downtown but i had to move around alot and that was way too much for me. i know for ppl who live in vegas they hate it. I took the deuce/sdx bus the last time i was in vegas and to me it was perfectly fine. The other thing is i do not drive or know how to drive. is it better to just rent a room in someones house instead? I see craigslist has ppl renting rooms for 400-600 per month and that includes everything furnished. I did check some extended stay places but those don't seem to be safe. I did this mainly b/c i wasn't sure how long i would stay in vegas. I stayed 3 months in vegas and did this by staying at cheap hotel on the strip and then downtown on the weekends.
Each time i went, i stayed at a strip hotel and i didn't stay that long until my last trip. I have been to Vegas many times for most for short vacation.
